I hope your weekend was a great one and you’re winding down and relaxing in preparation for the upcoming week, which also happens to be the first week of July and the halfway mark of 2019.
This has been quite a year for me! I have learned a LOT about myself, what I desire and what I truly need versus what I thought would “make me happy”. I find that time is a concept that often has created a sense of anxiety within me. More specifically, deadlines. Dates and times of days when I feel like “I should” be, do or have something and if I don’t, then I have somehow failed.
I have decided to be very intentional about focusing on time when it will yield me the best return. Such as, first thing when I wake up or right before I go to bed. The reason these yield great returns is because they are the gateways. One is the gateway to the rest of my day, and the other is a gateway to when my subconscious is most active (ie is able to work things out on my behalf)
It’s like the 80/20 rule (see Pareto’s Principe) . I want to be on the ideal side of that, where 20% of my efforts cause 80% of my results, and not the other way around. I feel like the time invested right before and after sleeping really illustrates and provides an opportunity for the 80/20 rule.
I am committed to really being thorough and consistent with my mornings and evenings and I wanted to invite you to join me.
