I hope you were able to enjoy the unseaonably BEAUTIFUL weather we experienced this past weekend. I had the opportunity to spend time and space with some of my loved ones and had a WONDERFUL time. We laughed, we cried and above all, we loved.
Love is a peculiar thing because it never really “leaves”. Even when relationship dynamics change or people transition… the (authentic) love shared always stays alive in the hearts of those that experienced it, and by default that love gets transferred to the new people and relationships that form.
I am writing this to you from the waiting room as one of my loved ones undergoes a surgical procedure and I am contemplating on the importance and magic of “the wait”.
As human beings we can tend to be a bit impatient at times wanting things to happen or unfold NOW, verus later. However.. the wait, is where the power is. The time that passes, is where the transformation unfolds. Things need time to “play out”..no matter what the subject matter is.
Life is a series of events that fill our time with memories and experiences and should never be rushed, or looked upon as some nuisance.
When we are waiting in life, it’s up to us to decide “how” we will wait. Will we continue to be passive or will we take initiative to create opportunities that benefit us and everyone around us? Sometimes the wait requires stillness, and sometimes it requires movement.
It’s best to “wait” with awareness, compassion, kindness, appreciation and empathy. These traits make the difference between a fulfilling life, and one that feels like a proverbial prison.
I hope you are experiencing lots of love, peace and satisfaction in your life. If you’re not, I want to remind you that it is completely possible for you and if you need a pep talk, feel free to reach out to me…just be forewarned that I’m a straight shooter and I’m not good at sugar coating things (nor do I believe it’s helpful) .
With So Much Love,
Meg
