Improvement is Eternal

I have been doing a lot of teaching recently and sharing the concept that it’s super important to have compassion with ourselves. We must understand that this journey to heal and become our the highest version of ourselves is an eternal one. There is no “finishing point”, no end.

I share this because I used to believe that “once I did _______” or ” once I achieved _______” THEN I would be successful and happy. I had to really discover that I can celebrate the ways in which I am happy and successful today, in this moment. I successfully brushed my hair today, I am happy about having my best friend and her husband in my kitchen preparing food for my baby shower as smells of delicious cuban foods fill my new home. I now understand that I can access the feelings I want to feel RIGHT NOW, not “when” the next marker is met.

I want to encourage you to take inventory of your current situation and identify the successes (no matter how big or small). Identify how you have experienced a moment of happiness (no matter how long it lasted). I don’t care if it was just from getting a good laugh at something like this….

F6EE28F2-8CEA-4D1F-A342-6FCF56A02D25

Here are some things that can also move you towards improving our body, mind and spirit.

  • Believe in God & pray
  • Drinking 2-4 gallons of water a day
  • Not comparing yourself to others
  • Not trying to impress people
  • Cold showers (Even the last 20 seconds of your regular shower)
  • Meditate
  • Not relying on relationships for happiness
  • Working out
  • Having a leader mentality
  • Reading books
  • Breathing  in from your nose (reminder)
  • Having gratitude
  • Cleaning your room
  • Taking breaks of social media –
  • Not limiting yourself –
  • Making up your bed (discipline practice)
  • Quitting/moderating caffeine & sugary drinks
  • Walking in nature
  • Having a plan  for things you want to do
  • Identifying how you want to FEEL based on those things you want to do
  • Being aware of what you doing with your valuable time & energy

Sending you lots of love,

Meg

The Womb & Heart Connection

Good Day Honey’s!

I am sincerely sending you peace, love and acceptance today. I’ve noticed that acceptance tends to be an underdog in terms of desires. When I reflect on my own healing journey, I realize how pivotal acceptance has been in experiencing true joy…

True acceptance kills unreasonable expectation and thereby eliminates disappointment.

This is one of the many revelations I received when I began to give special care and attention to my womb space through Vaginal Steaming. Initially, I was steaming for postpartum recovery, I didn’t realize that there was a very strong and powerful Womb & Heart connection was. While I was trying to “get back right” and “tighten up” after my youngest daughter was born, I had no idea that my heart was also beginning it’s own healing journey.

I began to cry a lot more.. and I mean A LOT MORE. Crying felt like such an amazing release. It was cleansing and healing. It felt like I was being gently urged to be more vulnerable and let go of the protective personality traits that had been built up over years.

I didn’t realize how guarded I was.

Steaming felt so good (not just physically) that I began doing it at every opportunity I got. I shared it with all my family and friends, really anyone who would listen.

Seemingly unrelated I began being drawn to other self care practices that focused on my heart’s well being. I began to meditate, I began to focus on the things I had to be grateful for. I began to accept the things (and people) that I could not change.

This was life changing.

I want to encourage you today that if you haven’t tried steaming, please give yourself the opportunity. If you have, don’t stop. Just like any profound change, it happens gradually. The rate at which you transform is really dependent on what your current beliefs and perspective are.

I have been helping people through steaming awareness and personal life coaching to rapidly move towards their own personal transformation and I have to say, it’s some of the most rewarding work we’ve every done.

Everything Is A Figment Of Your Imagination

Greetings Family!

Did you know that we live by imagination? Plans are imagination. They don’t become reality until we experience them. I can plan to wake up and workout and drink a healthy smoothie but until I actually DO IT, it’s my imagination.

So as it turns out, we are always imagining things. Let me say that a different way… every single thought in your head is your imagination. Whether it’s a plan or a “random” thought. A daydream or a memory. Imagination. All of it!

Why not imagine things that we want to happen instead of things that we don’t?

I am definitely simplifying a strategy that is WILDLY successful in the creation of the experiences we desire, but I want you to conceptualize that you can in fact imagine your optimal health, imagine your ideal relationships, imagine your ideal physique and so on and so forth.

I teach a lot of these techniques and strategies in my life coaching sessions and also have lots of free content around it on my YouTube Channel.

I’ve also created a great book list that has a lot of good resources to explore these concepts more that can be found here: https://yesgodwellness.com/pages/recommended-reading

7 Tips For a Great Sunday

Hola Honey!

I’m back on the mainland and ready to get home to do my Sunday routine to prep for the week. I love using this day to really get clear about how I want my week to go, what I’d like to complete.

Do you have a Sunday routine?

I have decided to list a few of my non-negotiables for Sunday and perhaps you may be inspired by them (or nah, and that’s cool too lol).

  1. LAUNDRY – I know this may be a tough one, it used to be painstaking for me.. I had no issues with washing and drying but putting away was my nemesis. Now, I simply fold things as SOON as they come out of the dryer. I noticed that my mood and overall energetic vibration is a lot higher when I don’t have piles of clothes around my home and all my things are neatly put away and available when I need them. Don’t forget to wash your bedding!
  2. REFRIGERATOR – Admittedly I am a recovering OCD neat freak (my children would say I never recovered) but I cannot stand to have clutter in my fridge. That leftover dish from Tuesday? Yep! Time to let it go. I like to go through my fridge on Sundays and get rid of any old produce that wasn’t used, empty out the tupperware and throw out any expired food. It just FEELS better and it creates more space for more yummy and nourishing foods to replace the old.
  3. JOURNALING – Setting 1-3 primary goals for the upcoming week is a great way to actually accomplish them. They may not be things that can be done in one sitting, and thats ok! If you’re anything like me, START WITH ONE! I often sit down to make a “little list” of things to do and wind up with 3 pages that overwhelm me and then cause me to procrastinate. A full brain dump is helpful sometimes, but for this Sunday let’s focus on 1 (3 maximum).
  4. TAKE A BATH and/or STEAM – Sunday is really a day for resting, although the things I’ve listed up until this point may feel like “work”, it’s important to keep in mind that they are adding to your PEACE of mind and can also be considered meditative. I like to tidy up with some really great music that makes me feel good blasting from my bluetooth speakers. Baths are my GO TO for relaxation. There’s something about being submerged in hot water and herbs that allows stress to melt away.
  5. CLOTHES – I have two young children who don’t love waking up in the morning. Anything I can do to lighten the load for them and me in the morning is well worth it. I lay their outfits out for Monday morning as well as my own.
  6. FOOD – Having meals planned for at least Monday and Tuesday is a good way to cut down on stress and also to save money by not swinging by for crap on the way home.
  7. PRAYER – I love praying everyday but Sunday is a day that I can really take my time to get into contemplating all the people and circumstances and dynamics I want to send love to.

Welp! I hope this was helpful.

Peace Is Right Here, Right Now

know that sometimes peace can feel like a distant fantasy with mounting task lists and scattered obligations between career, family, school, business etc.

As parents, friends, daughters, sons, lovers and professionals we wear many hats and like most human beings, we want to be “successful” at our many relationships, endeavors and pursuits.

What I’ve learned is that success is an inside job. Success is being at peace, regardless of life’s circumstances. It’s being content and grateful with your CURRENT physique, your current income, your current position, status and family dynamic.

I used to be caught up in the exterior appearance of things. I put a lot of stock in the way (I thought) I was perceived by others. I realized that my own judgment of myself was what I assumed others were thinking of me. The truth is that no one really cares that much about you and what you are or aren’t doing. Using other people’s feelings, reactions or responses to the ways in which we choose to live our lives is actually an excuse and excuses are based in fear.

I chose to BELIEVE that a different experience was possible. It didn’t happen overnight, but I slowly began to be intentional about living in MY OWN authentic truth. I realized that when I did that, it inspired others. The very people I thought I would hurt, I was actually helping. The fear of offending became a love of empowering.

Steaming was one of those things that seemed weird to others.. yet I knew that it was going to heal me. I didn’t realize that it went beyond the physical when I discovered and began incorporating it into my self care routine.

I know better now.

Steaming allowed me to connect deeply with my own heart. I realized that my womb and my heart are in fact connected, intricately.

We have created the “I Love My Womb” Bundle which is designed to provide plant based products which care for your womb and your heart. This Gift Box includes access to the Time Is On Our Side course which assists in getting clear about our visions, desires and goals and how to move towards accomplishing them in the least amount of time possible.

Sending much love, peace and bliss to you.

Enjoying My Manifestations

Nipsey Reminds Me…

Wow.

This week has been emotional for me. Typically I do not comment on any social happenings but this has rocked me. The death of Ermias Ashghedom (better known as Nipsey Hussle) has shaken the world. If you didn’t know who he was before, you likely know who he is now. If you don’t, I’ll allow you the opportunity of doing your own research.

I want to take a moment to share the inspiration that this loss has revitalized within me. I too, have suffered great personal loss through death. On November 11, 2006, my eldest son’s father, Michael Adams, was brutally murdered at the age of 27, when our son was just 8 years old. Immediately following these losses I questioned GOD. Admittedly, I was angry, hurt, sad, shocked. I even felt that I was with God. I didn’t get it yet. I didn’t understand. I didn’t realize that I was being called to appreciate and cherish the times I had with my loved ones. I was focused on the fact that I no longer had them.

12 years later (a relatively short timeframe)  I lost my older brother (best friend and confidante) Michael Porter to terminal pancreatic cancer on January 8, 2015. I was a bit further into my spiritual evolution so I was able to grasp the gratitude in even being able to know and experience him, but, I was still sad and hurt that this person whom I had grown used to communicating with on a daily basis was no longer here with me on the physical plane.

In retrospect, it took me several years and experiences later to really understand and realize the great blessing and gift I had been given in the actual experience of being able to love so deeply. The magnitude of my pain matched the magnitude of love that I had been capable of feeling. What a blessing! What an incredible and wonderful experience to have been able to have.

The celebration ceremony that was held in Nipsey’s honor was humbling, breath-taking and so wonderful. His mother was such a beacon of perspective alchemy for the world to witness. I was so overjoyed to watch and listen to the very intentional and whole perspective she expressed. We are divine, we are whole. YES GOD!!!!! The energetic shift that Nipsey’s ascension has created is so beautiful to watch. It also now holds humanity to a higher standard. Although I felt triggered initially about my loss, it has fostered a much greater appreciation and calling to truly walk unapologetically in my purpose.

Hoping it’s had similar effects on you.

Self-Examination

Greetings Beautiful Beings,

Have you ever had the feeling that you weren’t living up to your highest potential?

Recently I’ve really felt a push to examine myself. Yes, I always prefer to examine myself but I mean REALLY examine myself and the roots of how and why I hold myself back in certain areas of my life. Back at the end of 2018 I did a massive cleaning out of my physical space, got rid of lots of things and was able to re-purpose other things that I had forgotten that I owned!

It’s like something happened internally once I really got a handle of my external environment. An internal desire began to grow in regards  to doing a massive clean out of my heart and mind. I wanted to take inventory of all the things that needed to be “gotten rid of” and also things that could be re-purposed for a better quality of life and inner peace.

I realized that I had several addictions that needed to be addressed. Among the list are/were: procrastination, social media, distractions and probably the most ingrained and long-standing addiction…..FOOD (sugar, carbs, comfort foods)

I have done social media “fasts” in the past where I determined to “only spend a certain amount of time” on social media per day (which proved VERY difficult), so I knew that it was something that needed more a intentional and strategic approach. It’s kind of a love/hate relationship since I use it to promote and advertise my business, but in reality I was spending way more time just mindlessly scrolling than actually engaging in bringing value to my potential clients.

The next thing I’ve been examining is my relationship with food. I notice that I typically eat for taste and to “enjoy” the experience of pleasure. I definitely enjoy lots of “healthy” foods but I also really enjoy a lot of unhealthy foods as well. I began by starting to intermittently fast between the hours of 1-7PM and then I pushed my comfort zone to one meal a day. Then, I felt a push to do a fast from food for spiritual reasons. Once I began to look into and research the amazing benefits of prolonged fasting I was blown away!

Fasting has been used for centuries to heal many imbalances in the physical body along with making space spiritually for God to perform miracles. The bible is full of stories that illustrate this. (Esther 4-5, Esther 9, Jonah 3, Matthew 4, Matthew 6, Ezra 8, Nehemiah 1, 1 Kings 19, Exodus 34, Acts 9, Act 13, Acts 14, Isaiah 58, Mark 9 & Daniel 1 just to name a few, lol)

I did a 7 day water fast from 3/22/19 – 3/29/19. My primary motivation for fasting initially was to experience miracles in some personal family situations, along with increase in business and other areas, but the whopping 14 pounds I released definitely was an awesome silver lining. Let me be clear this fast was NOT about losing weight, but more about healing and preventing disease. Enabling my body to take a rest from digesting new food and provide the opportunity to go back through and process out all the toxins (and nutrients) being stored in fat cells. There are tons of resources but one of my favorites is the The Essene Science of Fasting.

What I realized during my fast and after I began to eat again is how much my emotional state affected my food choices. I asked the question a few days ago on Instagram what folks food addictions were. Many people chimed in and I want all of us to really take a moment to think about what we are sacrificing due to our ingrained habit of emotion suppression through food. For me, it’s clarity of mind, my ideal body and a sense of accomplishment. When I eat “good food” that is typically rich and/or sweet, I feel tired afterwards, and it begins a downward spiral. Of course this is just my own personal experience but I wanted to share it with you in  hopes that you can gain some insight, inspiration and/or motivation.

Archery Class & The Law of Attraction

As many of you know I have been, and am now even more intensely studying Universal Law, specifically the Law of Attraction. I took an amazing Archery class yesterday and after watching the footage, I was so inspired and compelled to create this very powerful analogy.

Something inside of me knew that I would take to archery like a natural. I am born under the Sun Sign of Sagittarius and besides that, I have always been very athletic. Once the technique was explained and showed to me once, I never missed the target. After watching the video of my performance, I realized something. Archery is EXACTLY like the law of attraction and therefore life itself. The arrow is us, and we have the power to direct ourselves because the (divine) power, force and momentum is never a question. We are always in a perpetual state of  propelling forward, this is in our divine nature, but the variable is the direction of our propel. Had I pointed my aim at the building behind me, or the person next to me, not only would I not have hit my target, but I could have really harmed someone else in the process.

This sounds so simple and obvious in these terms, however we do this with our attention and focus all the time. We think and say “I really want a great partner” but then we lament over previous experiences that hurt us or we say things like “all men/woman are the same”. We want to manifest more currency in our lives but then we say “Oh I can’t afford that…”. We want to release weight but then we tell ourselves when we look in the mirror “Oh my God I’m so fat”. We will always go where our attention is focused and guided. I have been making it a practice to ONLY ponder uplifting and prosperous thoughts. It takes awareness and intention. Even in the face of contrast, I say to myself “all things are working out for my ultimate good”

I challenge us as we move about our day today to be mindful of the internal self-talk and assess if it’s aiming in the direction of your true desires.

With So Much Love,

The Honey Pot is going away

Greetings!

I wanted to take some time to connect and discuss the recent happenings in my business. As a rule of thumb, transparency in all areas, especially emotional processing has been and always will be my primary business model. Honey Principles of Transformation (The Acronym which created The Honey Pot) is something that is innate within me and also the thing which I have realized allows me to offer value to those whom I come into contact with.

With that being said! The Honey Pot is going away…. however, as is typical with life, something bigger, better and more expansive is being born in it’s place. As many of you know, my initial slogan began as “Yeeeesssss!” There were many catalysts that transformed “Yes” into “Yes God”

In retrospect, once I began to dissociate with a lack mindset (struggle, over-focus on racial/gender inequality, focus on what I was lacking versus what I had available in plain sight at my disposal) and all people, places and things that exemplified those things, I was brought to a place of extreme humility, gratitude and clarity. Once I shifted my perspective and focused on how I could serve and what I could give versus what I thought society (or even God) owed me; brilliant (divine) ideas, opportunities and prosperity began to flood into my life.

I understand that the term GOD is subjective and means different things to different people. For the sake of this article, I am referring to the Creator, Most High, Allah, Divine Source and/or the Universe. I also know that my use of this term deters and pushes some individuals away from me and my business…… YES GOD!

God became my focal point,  the center of my universe, and my intentions were focused on how to be an example of God’s divine intelligence. I was instantly humbled and overwhelmed with gratitude each and everyday when I allowed myself to see what was going divinely right. This is not to say that I am ignorant to the ills of the world, however I know that the best (and only) way that I can affect change is to become the change I want to see.

Business has been thriving, growing and expanding rapidly. Between fulfilling orders, expanding the product lines, servicing clients, traveling for events, speaking engagements,  vending, developing educational programs and increasing consultations, we have managed to catch the attention of some very large brands. Last weekend I received a certified letter from a company that cited Trademark Infringement for my business name in the specific market/industry (feminine wellness) that I serve. When the mailman came and rang the doorbell and I saw the letter versus the typical package, my intuition immediately knew what it was. I had attempted to mitigate this issue by adding the word “Method” to the end of my business name early on, however the words “Honey Pot” have been trademarked.

I observed my anxiety start to set in, however because of my due diligence and practice of perspective alchemy, I immediately asked myself “what amazing opportunities can possibly result from this”? I thought briefly about arguing semantics, getting into a back and forth legal battle over the specifics and promptly decided that, you know what? They can have it! The name of my company isn’t what makes me successful, it’s the energy I put into it, the value that I offer people, the results that they receive by investing into my products and services. It was a relatively quick decision that took me about 10 minutes after mulling it over. I thought to myself “what can I name my company that truly represents where I am going with my brand?” I then opened my facebook page almost on auto pilot and saw my profile picture which is a picture of me with my “Yes God” earrings on. There was a sense of calm knowing that came over me. It was settled. Yes God Wellness was born. (Really God? You just bogarded like that? LOL!)

I have shared this widely on my social media platforms, however I know that not all of us utilize social media frequently so I wanted to be sure to communicate the changes going forward so when you see future communication coming from Yes God Wellness, you weren’t confused. I am so appreciative of all of the support, love and feedback I have received thus far and it is my intention to carry this message, brand and company far and wide.

I hope everyone is having an amazing Friday! YES GOD!

You Are Who You Sex

Greetings yall!

I send love, peace and blessings to  every individual who reads this content. Today, I am going to be discussing the energetic exchange and spiritual side of sex. Ooooo… LOL.

Let’s talk about sex baby! This topic has been on my mind for years and years, I remember watching Juanita Bynum’s “No More Sheets” and learning of “soul ties” over 10 years ago. Today, I have such a deeper appreciation for the appropriate context upon which to apply this principle to life. (it’s not JUST about sexual relations, but sex definitely creates a much closer connection and tie to an individual’s energy.

In stepping into entrepreneurship, I am being afforded the opportunity to cross paths with literally thousands of women. I have developed a deeper compassion for the emotional and physical distress we all experience at some point in our lives. I hear, and have also experienced my fair share of emotional pain around romantic, sexual relationships. What I have begun to realize is that many times we suppress these heartbreaks and pain in an attempt to “move on” and carry on with life. The subtly obvious resentment, frustration, pessimism around relationships (even jokingly) illustrates that we are in fact, NOT over it. Actually, it winds up holding us hostage, imprisoned and therefore highly susceptible to continue to attract dynamics which produce the same emotions.

Another discovery which has become crystal clear is that emotional/energetic imbalances in our womb, can and will manifest into physical imbalances. This is why things become chronic even after being “treated” and even surgically removed. It’s worth pondering what your heart and womb is “not over” yet. Being authentic and honest with yourself is crucial to free yourself both emotionally and physically.

I am going to tell my own personal story about a time when I literally felt the sexual energy in my womb following a sexual encounter. This dynamic/relationship was toxic and I knew it. I allowed and made the choice to justify my decision of entertaining him. I had known intuitively and felt in my gut and heart that the love wasn’t healthy or even genuine. I let my desire for companionship and “intimacy” override my common sense, and truthfully, I still held onto a lot of pain from previous experiences which is precisely the point of this article. One evening after a late night booty call, as I was driving home, I felt what I can only describe as what felt like a claw, reaching up from my womb up into my chest as if it was attempting to climb my chakras. That seriously freaked me out and was one of the last times I was intimate with him. I did a lot of personal development work after that relationship to really dig into the roots of what attracted what was in retrospect, a horrific scenario.

Pain begets pain, it’s crucial to take intentional action to clear our physical and energetic temple. The womb has been long regarded as the most divine organ because it not creates, but houses and develops human life. This is an indisputable fact.

This is why womb health and detoxification is so important. Steaming offers a wonderful opportunity to release and reveal those pains and tender spots we’ve been pushing deeper and deeper into our subconscious. Not only to the physical imbalances begin to decrease, the emotional ones begin to “escape” with the assistance of all the earthly healing elements. (Fire, Water, Air, Earth and Energy)

Thank you for taking time to read.

With So Much Love,

Megan(2)
