INCREASING BREASTMILK PRODUCTION

Drink lots of water!!! I cannot state enough how important it is to be sure you’re hydrated. Along with water, coconut water has lots of electrolytes that really boost your supply.

When you’re on the journey of nursing your little one, ensuring you have enough milk is imperative. It’s also important to be sure you’re fueling your body with the right nutrients. Both mama and baby need natural sources of fuel. I personally saw an immediate increase when I began drinking these delicious recipes.

POSTPARTUM 2020

Hey Yes God Family,

I hope you are doing well and finding joy and gratitude in your present moment.

In all transparency, my emotions have been in flux.

Actually let me be real. The first week home I started crying because my husband didn’t hear me ask him to bring something downstairs. As a matter of fact I found myself sobbing profusely several times a day.

The 4th trimester is likely one of the most vulnerable times in a woman’s life. Pregnancy itself is an extremely emotional experience where many hormonal changes are occurring that have a physical, mental and emotional effect. It’s normal to feel down, sad, upset, overwhelmed and anxious. A grieving process often happens since you are no longer pregnant. When it goes past two weeks it could be an indication of a postpartum “mood disorder” often referred to as postpartum depression. I am SO happy and grateful I am coming out of it (hence you’re receiving this email)

It’s such a conundrum because you’re experiencing all of this immediately following bringing life into the world, which is a triumphant experience which brings great joy.

Emotions are not linear and you can be joyous and in pain at the same time.

I know that what I’m describing aren’t just symptoms of postpartum either, some of us struggle with

  1. Hormonal imbalances that can seem downright paralyzing
  2. Circumstances that seem hopeless
  3. Spaces in life that cripple us with fear and depression
  4. External circumstances that feel as if we’re drowning in despair

I want to invite you to join me in intentionally releasing whatever we may have been holding onto that’s not serving us. On 12/30/2020 at 9:30 PM EST, I am going to be hosting (and doing) the Postpartum 2020 – Virtual Steam SessionWe are going to be setting intentions for 2021 as we reflect on the good we can take from 2020.

2020 was a year that none of us expected for various reasons. It brought about a “new normal” and demanded that we let go of the reality we once knew. In some ways that was a beautiful and rewarding process, in others we had to surrender and face truths that may have been excruciating.

From seemingly menial events, to life changing ones. It’s important to honor and appreciate the present moment while still digging, searching and sometimes even fighting to find something to be grateful for.

Undoubtedly we have all had to practice the art of surrender. Much like giving birth and being in the postpartum phase of pregnancy, it’s so important to lean into God and the faith that “this too shall pass”.

I love you all and I pray that you use this Sunday to prepare for this upcoming week while also making space for rest and rejuvenation.

I hope to see you soon,

With So Much Love,

Meg

Life Changing Practice

Meditation has been life changing for me.
.
The ability to sit and OBSERVE my mind… not quiet my mind but OBSERVE it.
.
Observe it’s fears, it’s insecurities, it’s programs, it’s scarcity perspective, it’s childish ego narratives.
.
.
I also observe the awareness that sits “behind” my mind. The loving, compassionate, forgiving, generous, divine and evolved being.
.
.
She’s who I come to visit and spend time with. She’s who I CHOOSE to identify with. She is who I choose to connect with and when I take the time to find her.. for 5 minutes here or 15 minutes there, I have significant access to her throughout the rest of my day.
.
.
Sometimes it’s through intuition, sometimes it’s through “random” genius ideas or abstract notions about what I should do “right quick”… perhaps like a social media post that gets seen by someone and it resonates a spark ⚡️ of transformation that changes the trajectory of their whole life.
.
.
I used to think meditation was a waste of time… HA!!!
.
.
I happen to have a WTF is Meditation Course available for $27 bucks.
.
I also have a Virtual Healing Session on Switching To An Abundance Mindset on 9/17
.
Speaking of abundance, me and my friend Lily are doing a free chat on 9/11 about how we used our inner divine power to create the lives and experiences we wanted for ourselves.
.
I invite you to all of them. You know where to find em https://linktr.ee/yesgodwellness.

The Womb & Heart Connection

Good Day Honey’s!

I am sincerely sending you peace, love and acceptance today. I’ve noticed that acceptance tends to be an underdog in terms of desires. When I reflect on my own healing journey, I realize how pivotal acceptance has been in experiencing true joy…

True acceptance kills unreasonable expectation and thereby eliminates disappointment.

This is one of the many revelations I received when I began to give special care and attention to my womb space through Vaginal Steaming. Initially, I was steaming for postpartum recovery, I didn’t realize that there was a very strong and powerful Womb & Heart connection was. While I was trying to “get back right” and “tighten up” after my youngest daughter was born, I had no idea that my heart was also beginning it’s own healing journey.

I began to cry a lot more.. and I mean A LOT MORE. Crying felt like such an amazing release. It was cleansing and healing. It felt like I was being gently urged to be more vulnerable and let go of the protective personality traits that had been built up over years.

I didn’t realize how guarded I was.

Steaming felt so good (not just physically) that I began doing it at every opportunity I got. I shared it with all my family and friends, really anyone who would listen.

Seemingly unrelated I began being drawn to other self care practices that focused on my heart’s well being. I began to meditate, I began to focus on the things I had to be grateful for. I began to accept the things (and people) that I could not change.

This was life changing.

I want to encourage you today that if you haven’t tried steaming, please give yourself the opportunity. If you have, don’t stop. Just like any profound change, it happens gradually. The rate at which you transform is really dependent on what your current beliefs and perspective are.

I have been helping people through steaming awareness and personal life coaching to rapidly move towards their own personal transformation and I have to say, it’s some of the most rewarding work we’ve every done.

Everything Is A Figment Of Your Imagination

Greetings Family!

Did you know that we live by imagination? Plans are imagination. They don’t become reality until we experience them. I can plan to wake up and workout and drink a healthy smoothie but until I actually DO IT, it’s my imagination.

So as it turns out, we are always imagining things. Let me say that a different way… every single thought in your head is your imagination. Whether it’s a plan or a “random” thought. A daydream or a memory. Imagination. All of it!

Why not imagine things that we want to happen instead of things that we don’t?

I am definitely simplifying a strategy that is WILDLY successful in the creation of the experiences we desire, but I want you to conceptualize that you can in fact imagine your optimal health, imagine your ideal relationships, imagine your ideal physique and so on and so forth.

I teach a lot of these techniques and strategies in my life coaching sessions and also have lots of free content around it on my YouTube Channel.

I’ve also created a great book list that has a lot of good resources to explore these concepts more that can be found here: https://yesgodwellness.com/pages/recommended-reading

What is Vaginal Steaming & Why You Should Try It

WHY SHOULD YOU TRY VAGINAL STEAMING?

What would currently be considered an alternative/complementary medicine, Vaginal Steaming (V Steam) is the process of adding medicinal herbs to boiling water and positioning your pelvic area over the steam to absorb the therapeutic volatile oils as they are released from the herbs. The steam delivers the oils directly into the bloodstream via the blood vessels which are accessible through the vulva and perineal tissue. This modality is beneficial whether or not, you possess a uterus.

Traditionally, one of the most commonly known applications of this ancient tradition was to assist with the release of lochia after childbirth. Recently however, it has been shown to greatly assist with emotional and mental health, along with providing overall body detoxification, along with alleviating symptoms from a large variety of gynecological imbalances.

Vaginal steaming can assist with:

Facilitating an energetic release of traumatic experiences, along with establishing a deeper connection with your divine authentic self, creating empowerment to evolve into your best version.

Significant reduction in pain, bloating and exhaustion associated with menstruation

Alternate treatment of chronic vaginal/yeast infections, while working to maintain healthy odor

Regulating irregular, prolonged or absent menstrual cycles

Decreasing in excessive menstrual flow as well as reduce dark purple or brown blood at the beginning and/or end of menstrual cycle

Natural Holistic Management of Menopausal symptoms, including but not limited to: including dryness or pain during intercourse

Promoting Hormonal Alignment

Beneficial for Fertility

Beneficial for Uterine Fibroids, Ovarian Cysts, Uterine Weakness, Uterine Prolapse & Endometriosis.

Assistance with the repair of a vaginal tear or Episiotomy

Assistance with the healing of Hemorrhoids.

Detoxification of  the womb and removal of  toxins from the body.

Yes God Wellness has a unique M.E.T.H.O.D. for the approach in which we can use steaming to empower our personal development along with the release of stagnant dynamics in our lives, both energetically and physically.

Mindfulness – Being mindful about what your mind is full of. ( Pause, Observe Your Self Talk)

Explore/Engage – Subconscious self talk should be observed to identify opportunities to create a more empowering inner dialogue. Frequently, this means revisiting of pain that has not been fully or thoroughly processed. We can only release what we are aware we’re carrying.

Transform – Perspective is a choice and can intentionally be reframed. Once we have arrived at this step, we can incorporate Vaginal Steaming to energetically assist us to release those old paradigms and patterns we have allowed to become a part of our natural internal dialogue. Once we can begin to transform our perception, we can begin to truly transform our lives.

Honesty – We must be willing to be completely honest with ourselves. If we cannot be honest, we cannot change.

Opportunity – Learning to identify the opportunity in situations is critical to evolution. There is always a lesson to be learned and an opportunity to grow. All pain offers an opportunity which can become more clear once we release it and adjust our perspective. See  Perspective Alchemy.

Development – Through our growth, honesty and transformation, we can begin to uncover the great gifts which are hidden inside all of our experiences. Purpose is closely correlated with pain. We all have come here to offer our own unique gifts to the world.

7 Tips For a Great Sunday

Hola Honey!

I’m back on the mainland and ready to get home to do my Sunday routine to prep for the week. I love using this day to really get clear about how I want my week to go, what I’d like to complete.

Do you have a Sunday routine?

I have decided to list a few of my non-negotiables for Sunday and perhaps you may be inspired by them (or nah, and that’s cool too lol).

  1. LAUNDRY – I know this may be a tough one, it used to be painstaking for me.. I had no issues with washing and drying but putting away was my nemesis. Now, I simply fold things as SOON as they come out of the dryer. I noticed that my mood and overall energetic vibration is a lot higher when I don’t have piles of clothes around my home and all my things are neatly put away and available when I need them. Don’t forget to wash your bedding!
  2. REFRIGERATOR – Admittedly I am a recovering OCD neat freak (my children would say I never recovered) but I cannot stand to have clutter in my fridge. That leftover dish from Tuesday? Yep! Time to let it go. I like to go through my fridge on Sundays and get rid of any old produce that wasn’t used, empty out the tupperware and throw out any expired food. It just FEELS better and it creates more space for more yummy and nourishing foods to replace the old.
  3. JOURNALING – Setting 1-3 primary goals for the upcoming week is a great way to actually accomplish them. They may not be things that can be done in one sitting, and thats ok! If you’re anything like me, START WITH ONE! I often sit down to make a “little list” of things to do and wind up with 3 pages that overwhelm me and then cause me to procrastinate. A full brain dump is helpful sometimes, but for this Sunday let’s focus on 1 (3 maximum).
  4. TAKE A BATH and/or STEAM – Sunday is really a day for resting, although the things I’ve listed up until this point may feel like “work”, it’s important to keep in mind that they are adding to your PEACE of mind and can also be considered meditative. I like to tidy up with some really great music that makes me feel good blasting from my bluetooth speakers. Baths are my GO TO for relaxation. There’s something about being submerged in hot water and herbs that allows stress to melt away.
  5. CLOTHES – I have two young children who don’t love waking up in the morning. Anything I can do to lighten the load for them and me in the morning is well worth it. I lay their outfits out for Monday morning as well as my own.
  6. FOOD – Having meals planned for at least Monday and Tuesday is a good way to cut down on stress and also to save money by not swinging by for crap on the way home.
  7. PRAYER – I love praying everyday but Sunday is a day that I can really take my time to get into contemplating all the people and circumstances and dynamics I want to send love to.

Welp! I hope this was helpful.

Peace Is Right Here, Right Now

know that sometimes peace can feel like a distant fantasy with mounting task lists and scattered obligations between career, family, school, business etc.

As parents, friends, daughters, sons, lovers and professionals we wear many hats and like most human beings, we want to be “successful” at our many relationships, endeavors and pursuits.

What I’ve learned is that success is an inside job. Success is being at peace, regardless of life’s circumstances. It’s being content and grateful with your CURRENT physique, your current income, your current position, status and family dynamic.

I used to be caught up in the exterior appearance of things. I put a lot of stock in the way (I thought) I was perceived by others. I realized that my own judgment of myself was what I assumed others were thinking of me. The truth is that no one really cares that much about you and what you are or aren’t doing. Using other people’s feelings, reactions or responses to the ways in which we choose to live our lives is actually an excuse and excuses are based in fear.

I chose to BELIEVE that a different experience was possible. It didn’t happen overnight, but I slowly began to be intentional about living in MY OWN authentic truth. I realized that when I did that, it inspired others. The very people I thought I would hurt, I was actually helping. The fear of offending became a love of empowering.

Steaming was one of those things that seemed weird to others.. yet I knew that it was going to heal me. I didn’t realize that it went beyond the physical when I discovered and began incorporating it into my self care routine.

I know better now.

Steaming allowed me to connect deeply with my own heart. I realized that my womb and my heart are in fact connected, intricately.

We have created the “I Love My Womb” Bundle which is designed to provide plant based products which care for your womb and your heart. This Gift Box includes access to the Time Is On Our Side course which assists in getting clear about our visions, desires and goals and how to move towards accomplishing them in the least amount of time possible.

Sending much love, peace and bliss to you.

Self-Examination

Greetings Beautiful Beings,

Have you ever had the feeling that you weren’t living up to your highest potential?

Recently I’ve really felt a push to examine myself. Yes, I always prefer to examine myself but I mean REALLY examine myself and the roots of how and why I hold myself back in certain areas of my life. Back at the end of 2018 I did a massive cleaning out of my physical space, got rid of lots of things and was able to re-purpose other things that I had forgotten that I owned!

It’s like something happened internally once I really got a handle of my external environment. An internal desire began to grow in regards  to doing a massive clean out of my heart and mind. I wanted to take inventory of all the things that needed to be “gotten rid of” and also things that could be re-purposed for a better quality of life and inner peace.

I realized that I had several addictions that needed to be addressed. Among the list are/were: procrastination, social media, distractions and probably the most ingrained and long-standing addiction…..FOOD (sugar, carbs, comfort foods)

I have done social media “fasts” in the past where I determined to “only spend a certain amount of time” on social media per day (which proved VERY difficult), so I knew that it was something that needed more a intentional and strategic approach. It’s kind of a love/hate relationship since I use it to promote and advertise my business, but in reality I was spending way more time just mindlessly scrolling than actually engaging in bringing value to my potential clients.

The next thing I’ve been examining is my relationship with food. I notice that I typically eat for taste and to “enjoy” the experience of pleasure. I definitely enjoy lots of “healthy” foods but I also really enjoy a lot of unhealthy foods as well. I began by starting to intermittently fast between the hours of 1-7PM and then I pushed my comfort zone to one meal a day. Then, I felt a push to do a fast from food for spiritual reasons. Once I began to look into and research the amazing benefits of prolonged fasting I was blown away!

Fasting has been used for centuries to heal many imbalances in the physical body along with making space spiritually for God to perform miracles. The bible is full of stories that illustrate this. (Esther 4-5, Esther 9, Jonah 3, Matthew 4, Matthew 6, Ezra 8, Nehemiah 1, 1 Kings 19, Exodus 34, Acts 9, Act 13, Acts 14, Isaiah 58, Mark 9 & Daniel 1 just to name a few, lol)

I did a 7 day water fast from 3/22/19 – 3/29/19. My primary motivation for fasting initially was to experience miracles in some personal family situations, along with increase in business and other areas, but the whopping 14 pounds I released definitely was an awesome silver lining. Let me be clear this fast was NOT about losing weight, but more about healing and preventing disease. Enabling my body to take a rest from digesting new food and provide the opportunity to go back through and process out all the toxins (and nutrients) being stored in fat cells. There are tons of resources but one of my favorites is the The Essene Science of Fasting.

What I realized during my fast and after I began to eat again is how much my emotional state affected my food choices. I asked the question a few days ago on Instagram what folks food addictions were. Many people chimed in and I want all of us to really take a moment to think about what we are sacrificing due to our ingrained habit of emotion suppression through food. For me, it’s clarity of mind, my ideal body and a sense of accomplishment. When I eat “good food” that is typically rich and/or sweet, I feel tired afterwards, and it begins a downward spiral. Of course this is just my own personal experience but I wanted to share it with you in  hopes that you can gain some insight, inspiration and/or motivation.

Valentine’s Day Blues

Greetings beautiful beings!

Valentine’s Day is approaching and I know that this can be a very sensitive and triggering time. I have spoken to many clients who have expressed pain, resentment and an overall sentiment of “failure” around relationships (romantic and otherwise). I have spent some time pondering this and wanted to share some of my own thought and perspectives around pain, grief and loss. (I have and still do experience my fair share).

I wanted to share some ways in which I have been able to process and manage my own feelings around pain, grief, loss and disappointment. I have been broadcasting live on my IG page for the past two days at 11:11am EST and will do so tomorrow (Monday)  as well as a part of my “Clean Heart, Period” series (which I am going to re-do as we’ve been experiencing some technical difficulties…I’ll keep you posted on when) I shared that one of the best ways that I have been able to work through and release pain is to face it. Actually allowing myself the time and space to revisit my painful experiences (notice revisit, NOT relive) with the intention and position of of being the observer. Yes, sometimes it feels difficult and I don’t want to “be bothered” with drudging up old pain, however I have learned that what isn’t revealed can’t really be healed and ironically, we continue to relive and create similar dynamics until we are willing to blow the lid off and look at those things square and direct. One practical way that I revisit and release is through letter writing. Please refer to my last post about it here.

Another way that I dismantle pain’s hold on me, is to consistently and frequently keep myself in a state of gratitude. I mean little things…like “thank you God for allowing me to arrive safely to all my errands today, I appreciate that I have a roof over my head, I am so grateful I can breathe unassisted”. While these things may sound trivial, it is really important to observe and acknowledge all the ways in which our lives are truly blessed, because trust and believe that one glitch in the matrix can change these things and we don’t want to “need” catastrophe to happen to appreciate being able to pick up a phone and read an email.

I want to take a moment to affirm you. You are enough, you have enough and you are loved enough. I have been looking myself in the eye each morning (in my bathroom mirror) and telling myself that. ” I am enough, I have enough and I am loved enough”.  I hope this message has reached and helped someone. I intend to send a few more love notes throughout this week and share some more tools that have and are working for me.

I hope we all have a fantastic week and remember, when we fill our own love cup, we have enough to share and if/when any external situation happens, we have enough of our own supply to be independent of needing anyone else to “love” or “validate” us. What’s even more amazing is that when we truly, deeply love ourselves we magnetize others who do the same.

With so much love,

Megan
